SURREALITY & YOUR ROLE



This 4 painting piece pivots from the center on a battery operated lazy susan.
It stops on each side for 2 minutes, revolving @ 2 rotations per minute.
Each side of each painting has a seperate title to correspond with the image.
Each side has a different Taste delivered from test-tubes to tubing to a disposable single-use mouthpiece & Audio from its on board speakers.
Each side has a different Texture [A corresponding time partitioned turning container is placed on the floor in front of the seated participant with various textures & objects to feel with bare feet].
Each side of the work also has a different combination of Smells delivered from a 3 source disposable nasal cannula [which is attached to the disposable mouthpiece].
This allows you to completely experience the piece with ALL of your senses @ the same time.
Each side with different title, visual, audio, smell, texture,& taste.
The participant sits in a chair ,inserts disposable mouthpiece in mouth which automatically directs attached nasal cannula.
You would put your feet in the floor container.
The electric timer does the rest, changing to a new perspective-side every 2 minutes.
